What leaves your Mac
Three sentences, then the detail. Your audio, transcripts and summaries never leave your machine. Tape has no account, no telemetry and no analytics. The only requests it makes are an update check on this site and the one-time model download.
Every request the app can make
This is the complete list. There is no fourth item.

Nothing else is contacted. There are no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, no advertising identifiers and no third-party services embedded in the app.
As with any server, the sites above see the network address the request came from and the standard headers a browser or app sends. No identifier that ties a request to a person or an installation is added by Tape.
What stays on your Mac
All of it. Recording, transcription, summarization and chat run locally, on the Neural Engine and GPU, through models installed on your own disk.

Deleting a meeting folder deletes the meeting, completely. There is no separate database, index or cloud copy to clean up afterwards. See your files for the full layout.

Meeting detection works by noticing that a meeting app has taken the microphone. It does not read your screen, your keystrokes or the contents of other apps.
Children, sharing and selling
Tape collects no personal data, so there is nothing to share, sell, transfer or hand over. This is not a policy choice that could quietly change with a server-side flag: the app has no mechanism for sending your content anywhere.
Anything the operating system does
Tape is distributed notarized by Apple. macOS itself may verify that signature when you first open the app, and macOS handles the permission prompts above. Those are between you and Apple, not something Tape controls or can see.
If this ever changes
Any change that affects what leaves your Mac will be listed in the app's release notes, not buried in a revised policy. This page carries its own date, and the app is honest about its version.
